Stormwater Detention and Infiltration

Camino Grove Elementary School underwent a substantial remodel and expansion.  This created the need for a 130,000 gallon stormwater detention and infiltration system under the play fields.  The detention requirements were met by three side by side interconnected RainSpace chambers which collected rainwater from the roofs of the school buildings and the parking lot.  The school budget was extremely tight and the Rainspace chambers were selected by a major civil engineering firm as the most cost-efficient solution for their client.  The inlet to the RainSpace stormwater detention and infiltration chambers is a RainSpace inlet filter well with sediment isolation filter tubes (SIFT) to filter debris and sediment from the stormwater before it entered the detention and infiltration chamber system.
